Dennis Quaid is that rare person who actually got worse once they became sober.

The amount of Jesus references in this movie reminds me of how CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) was defined back in the day by the number of JPMs (Jesuses Per Minute). I wonder if that's the case with Christian movies now.

I just imagine Jack Quaid greeting everybody now with, "Hi, I'm Jack Quaid—I'm sorry, I never thought that film of Dad's would see the light of day!"

On the bright side, 15 of those 135 minutes are devoted to Nancy Reagan deep throat POV

The distributor, Showbiz Direct, only has ONE IMDB credit, and that's for this movie.

Appropriately, the Cinematographer's name is "Christian Sebaldt".

To my considerable surprise, Dennis Quaid does not have a producing as well as acting credit on this Opus Penguin.

and yet it came in third at the box office...

I honestly thought this movie came and went, because I remember seeing an episode of Pawn Stars where a guy who apparently worked on the production had a "Reagan" poster signed by Dennis Quaid that he wanted to sell. Instead of having the usual professional come in to validate its authenticity, they brought Dennis Quaid out to do it (Whaaaaat? These shows are fake?!?!?). That episode came out 3 years ago.

Maybe that's from the period where it was shelved, and they were hoping to sell it as this rare artifact from an unreleased movie.

Once upon a time, I used to have a teaser poster for the 1990 Captain America movie that I got from the theater where I used to work. Sure, it came out on video, but it was never released theatrically. Really wish I had held onto that one.

I think I’m gonna vote for Reagan again next week

I had no idea that Maryland's former Gov. Larry Hogan was a fan of Nathan Rabin and went by the name "Noah" on the Internet.

I think if I was actually Larry Hogan that comment would make sense to me

Sorry, that was a very Maryland-politics-centric comment.

Hogan is one of those rare Never-Trumpers who's still running for office and getting half-decent poll numbers, and is famous for claiming that he wrote in Reagan instead of voting for Trump for president. Bizarrely the two of them managed to strike some kind of deal this year where Hogan is running for Senate and Trump is somehow not badmouthing him all day long.

Ah I see. I only said it because Reagan was a really bad movie. I’m always trying to make him see terrible movies more than once. It’s one of my best running gags

Well, to be honest, Reagan would be almost infinitely better than the wannabe-fascist we have now. And that's taking into account the fact that he's been dead for over 20 years.

I deeply detest Reagan! He was an ‘AC TOR’ All his life, pretending to be a hero. He fooled the Red party in America, to elect him a second time, when he could barely finish a sentence, due to alzheimers, Nancy talked for him, with “Ronny says, blah blah.”

I was with my dad, driving thru LA, Ca. And saw a most shocking sight, men in hospital gowns, open in the back, walking on the streets. Many still in bandages, around their heads, some were missing an arm, or leg, on crutches, most were war veterans.

I asked my staunch Republican father, “WHY?! Are those poor patients out on the streets?” He answered, “Governor Reagan did this, he demanded the mental hospitals be emptied in 24 hours, so we won’t have to pay for this anymore.” I vividly remember my father’s cold heartless statement, and the sight of our war hero’s in hospital gowns, with no where to go! Also knew in my heart, I would NEVER be a Republican.
