I have to say, I had no idea that this franchise had had the array of filmmaking talent involved with it before this series of pieces. I'm a relative newcomer to the Society cult, but: god, what an extraordinarily weird film.
Is this movie even set around the holidays? Christmas also being The Winter Solstice would be a GREAT time for a sacrifice to Hades to let Persephone return to her mother Demeter, bringing light and living back to the world. Or a sacrifice to Demeter to await her daughter's return...or something that sounds just mystical enough to tie in with Midwinter myths and legends. (Handwave... Handwave...Mystical Mumbo-Jumbo...Whatever You Call "Technobabble" in Fantasy...Jiggery-Pokery....)
One of the things HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH had going for it was that it tied its then-modern technology to ancient rituals and myths of All Hallows Eve, rather than just having all sorts of gross and goshy special effects (like Clint Howard!) to freak you out. I'm just disappointed that, from what you're saying, Brian Yunza didn't go anywhere close to there.

I'm enjoying this series. Speaking of horror series, what happened to the Tales from the Crypt features?
::When he replaced Yuzna has serious horror movie credibility due to his work with legendary fright-master Stuart Gordon.::
I'm not sure what this sentence is telling me, Nabin....
That I sometimes/often make typos! Fixed it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
