The shamelessness of this sequel (that I love) is breathtaking. Nathan didn’t mention it, but the actress playing Mother Superior this time around, Jean Miller, sports extensive facial scarring (through special effects makeup).
Apparently, this was done to obscure the fact that Lilyan Chauvin did not return (and the new and old footage wouldn’t match well without it). Yet the movie never explains why Mother Superior is now hideously disfigured.
One of my favorite details that is easy to miss - the role of Officer Jackson (whoever that is) is credited to “O. J. Ackson.”
As I remember it, she's got cancer. Skin cancer? No, something else, nothing that would be expected to leave your face horribly disfigured. But ... she's old, and she has cancer, and she's mean! Just the kind of person that would also look like a monster, yeah?
It fits it just find with the "logic" of the rest of the film.
From what I remember, another character mentions that Mother Superior suffered a stroke. But that wouldn’t explain facial scarring that looks like the result of a burn. It might explain the wheelchair, but Mother Superior was already using a wheelchair in the final scene of the original movie (and no explanation is offered there).
GARBAGE DAY! A HA HA HA
“If anyone wants to give me a Ricky Caldwell figure for Christmas I would totally be into it.”
I DID give you that figure a year or two ago!

James-I didn’t know that. I got the whole series on 4K this year and will look out for that on rewatch. Looking forward to all the bonus features.
Eric Freeman is so miscast as Ricky that he becomes perfectly cast.
I can't wait! I ordered the Blu-Ray for Christmas last year, but by the time it got to us it was January—so, 'tis the Season!
