Don't blame me, I voted for Bride Wars.

I think we hoped that a horror movie would take your mind off of it, Nabin?

After all, these are the kinds of movies you grew up loving.

When I saw the release date of "28 Days Later" was 2002, I thought out loud that it couldn't be right. I saw it a year later, which I distinctly recall because I went to see it around a pivotal time in my life (divorce). Turns out it was released in the UK in 2002, then in the US the summer of 2003. My bad. On a side note, I went to London on my first ever (and only, to date) solo vacation in 2004. I bought a DVD on the day I arrived for a little movie called "Shaun of the Dead" which hadn't been released in the US yet. I thought I struck gold (and in a way, I did).

Anyway, seeing the tower of skulls in the "28 Years Later" images reminded me of the Capuchin crypts in Rome, where the monks had taken the skeletons of the dead monks and created designs around the crypts with their bones. It's not a totally foreign concept in horror movies to see a tableau made of skeletons, but the sheer volume of them in the crypts mirrored the skull tower. It makes you wonder, how ghoulish were these dudes to just keep exhuming bodies (they re-used tombs) and think, "that would look good under the femur over there."

Also, I voted for Bride Hard. :)

Wow, I definitely did not appreciate the connection between the Jimmy character in the film and Sir Jimmy Savile. His crimes were not exposed until around 2012, which means in the timeline of the films he is still regarded as a beloved figure in British culture.

Also, the third 28 Years poster included in your review is a pretty massive spoiler!
