I have most of your books sitting on my shelf (including, somehow, two copies of Weird Accordion To Al) and I was excited about these two new titles as well. But I think your approach towards writing a more personal book about Autism in your family is a wonderful idea that could not only bring you a new, broader audience, but I think it would be a great way for you to really dig into this new information in your life. There is certainly an audience out there for such a book and a brand new series of media outlets that would be interested in what you have to say. Don't let this one pothole slow you down. I have confidence in you!

I’m sorry about the campaign. It was a really exciting premise. But I’ll always be there to back the next one and the one after that. I love you, man.

I hope this isn't rubbing anything in, but as the parent of an autistic 4-year-old and an ADHD/OCD/possibly autistic 8-year-old, I admit to being very excited about a book about your family negotiating life from a neurodivergent point-of-view.

I can't speak for anyone else and I hope this doesn't come off as too dickish, but I know that I've become a bit hesitant to back the first editions of your books because it seems like twenty minutes later you announce a expanded edition.

For what it's worth, I only heard of the Indiegogo a couple of days ago, after it had already ended. I didn't/don't really understand why it would end on a random February weekend -- I guess because that coincides with finishing the 1st season? -- but it seems to me a longer-running campaign (or a GoFundMe) might be more appropriate for the project.

At any rate, I do think a more realistic time-frame is a good decision. Don't burn out!

A suggestion: in order to capitalize on the 50th anniversary, since you already have the write-ups, I think you could relatively easily compile them into an ebook-only "Complete Guide to SNL's 1st Season", "Complete Guide to SNL's 2nd Season", etc. as you finish each season, and put them out on Amazon right after you complete each one. That wouldn't prevent putting together a nicer, more professional physical version at the end, and it might provide a little extra cash throughout the process.
