What Project Should I Tackle When I'm Done with the Final Destination series?
Give me direction, PLEASE!
To help distract me from all of the unpleasantness in the world right now, I threw myself into a deep dive into the Final Destination series for this newsletter.
All that’s left for me is 2011’s Final Destination 5 and, eventually, 2025’s Final Destination: Bloodlines, which does not have a release date yet.
That means I can begin my next big project THIS week.
Here’s the thing: I don’t HAVE a big next project slated.
I consequently would like to know what YOU, my adoring (or at least tolerating) public, would like for me to write up next.
I’ve limited myself to lowbrow franchises so far, but this newsletter and project could be ANYTHING. Even something moderately popular! Who knows? It could happen!
Do you want me to write about all the James Bond movies? Every film in the MCU? Every adaptation of the work of best-selling author Stephen King? Tobe Hooper’s filmography? Do you want me to write up every episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset? Should I watch all of Neal Breen’s movies?
Is there a particular filmmaker you’d like to see me cover? Or an actor? Or a DP or Best Boy of gaffer?
I have no idea what the public wants, so I’d love to hear what you’d like me to write about next.
Throw out your ideas! Nothing is too crazy! You don’t have to be a subscriber to propose something, but my goodness, there’s no downside to being a subscriber (particularly of the paid variety!) and a massive upside for you and me. Also, it would make me feel nice.
Let me know what you want, and I will make it my business to make it happen, literally and figuratively,
Really, anything?
Okay, how about every movie based on a Disney theme park attraction? Here's a complete list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_film_adaptations_of_Disney_attractions
Stephen King movies is a good one! I'd also like to read something about the movie Stephen King directed, Maximum Overdrive. (If you've already written about it, rerun that piece.)
Also, recaps of shows that are copycats of SNL. Thinking Fridays and MadTV.
