Nora Ephron’s 2000 dark comedy Lucky Numbers proved spectacularly unlucky with audiences. It received a dreaded F rating on Cinemascore because it is not the kind of movie you’re supposed to like.

In a pop culture realm unhealthily obsessed with likability, Lucky Numbers is flagrantly unlikable, deliberately loathsome. 

Lucky Numbers stars John Travolta as Russ Richards, a small-town Midwestern weatherman who loves being a big fish in a small pond.
