Rusty Cundieff’s riotously funny 1994 Hip Hop satire Fear of a Black Hat is primarily a parody of NWA’s dramatic rise and even more dramatic fall but the film’s genius is that it’s not just a parody of one group or one rapper so much as it’s a brilliant spoof of Hip Hop as a whole.
