Fourteen years ago or so I became fascinated by country music. The catalyst was the Billy Joe Shaver song “I’ve Been to Georgia on a Fast Train.” I loved that song so much that I decided to spend a year exploring the wonderful world of country music for an A.V Club feature called Nashville or Bust.
