Substack encouraged me to invite y’all to refer folks to this newsletter and to reward you for doing so.
So I wrote a post encouraging y’all to refer folks to the site and introduced some rewards as an incentive.
The first day wasn’t a huge success in that it netted literally only a single referral. So I’ve changed it so you don’t have to refer that many people to get a reward.
At this point I would settle for any kind of success, no matter how modest. So if you could help me spread word of this Substack I would really appreciate it.
Apparently if you share a piece and it results in someone subscribing that counts for your total. So please do that! I’ve got lots of great pieces! It’d be great to have people read them.
So here’s what you do:
1. Share Nathan Rabin's Bad Ideas. When you use the referral link below, or the “Share” button on any post, you'll get credit for any new subscribers. Simply send the link in a text, email, or share it on social media with friends.
2. Earn benefits. When more friends use your referral link to subscribe (free or paid), you’ll receive special benefits.
Get Signed Joy of Trash for 5 referrals
Oh, but I love my book The Joy of Trash! It’s really good! And you can get a signed copy directly from me directly if you refer 7 times.
Get signed hardcover TWATA for 10 referrals
I’m also a big fan of the full-color, hardcover edition of The Weird A-Coloring to Al. Only 270 copies exist and you can get one signed (by my illustrator Felipe Sobreiro and myself) and numbered PLUS one of 10 art cards signed by Felipe and myself
Get Control Nathan Rabin 5.0! for 20 referrals
I’d be so grateful if you would refer me 50 times that I will watch and write about a movie of your choice, the way I do with Control Nathan Rabin 4.0 pledges at Nathan Rabin’s Happy Place.

Thank you for helping get the word out about Nathan Rabin's Bad Ideas!
This somehow did even worse. Instead getting one recommendation I got zero. I get a little discouraged sometimes because it seems like everything I do to try to make money or improve my career fails miserably.
