Announcing the Friday Afternoon Online Fun Chill Hang Spot

I got lists! Important, definitive lists!

Hey, you beautiful people,

I am proud to announce that at noon tomorrow, I will begin the first of what I hope are many online chill hang spots where I kibbitz with paid subscribers to this newsletter about, you know, life and stuff.

This has been the worst month of the year for me in terms of paid subscribers and income. I’ve shed all the income and paid subscribers I gained through my Father’s Day sale. I’m worried that I’ve hit a wall that I will never get over.

To encourage more people to become paid subscribers, I plan to host more chats, as I want to offer even more value for your money and also because, to be brutally honest, I lead a very solitary existence as a stay-at-home dad and would appreciate company.

I will be unveiling my top ten lists of the 10 best and 10 worst American movies about filmmaking of all time. I’m pretty excited about that. I’d love to hear what y’all think, and if you agree with me, so tune in tomorrow at noon EST and let’s talk! I’d love to see your lists as well.

I’d love to do watch-alongs via Substack related to The Fractured Mirror, my upcoming book on movies about movies. It’d be super fun watching Troy Duffy’s glorious humiliation in Overnight with y’all or the organic double feature Paparazzi/Pawparazzi.
